Rebecca Jackson
I am a qualified and experienced EMDR therapist, offering a supportive and collaborative space for adults to work through trauma, distressing experiences, and emotional difficulties at their own pace. I aim to create an environment where you feel safe, understood, and comfortable to explore what has brought you to therapy, while also feeling confident in the structure and effectiveness of the work we do together.
EMDR therapy is at the heart of my practice, and I integrate it with my wider therapeutic training to ensure that each session is tailored to you as an individual. I hold two Postgraduate Diplomas in Counselling and Psychotherapy and am a fully accredited therapist with the British Association for Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP). My integrative background allows me to bring depth, flexibility, and sensitivity to the EMDR process, adapting the work to suit your needs rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach.
My professional background includes extensive experience within NHS mental health services, alongside specialist work in domestic abuse, sexual violence, and bereavement services. In addition, I have established and sustained a thriving private practice over the past six years, supporting clients with consistency, discretion, and a high standard of care.
I have work with a broad range of presentations, including trauma, PTSD, childhood trauma, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, abuse, relationship difficulties, and self-esteem and body image concerns.
